1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TimeLeft (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the TimeLeft mobile application (the “App”) and the website at which this policy is published (the “Site”). TimeLeft is published by an independent developer based in Florida, United States. This policy applies to the App and the Site only.
We do not operate accounts or user profiles, and the App does not require you to provide any personal information in order to use it. By using the App or the Site, you agree to this policy.
Services you reach through the App or the Site — including the Apple App Store and Google Play — are governed by their own privacy policies, not by this one.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information stored on your device
Content you create in the App, together with your preferences, is stored locally on your device in storage that belongs to the App. This information is not transmitted to us, and we have no access to it. Where the App provides home-screen widgets, the same local storage is shared with those widgets on the same device.
If you have enabled device backup through your operating system (for example iCloud Backup or Google backup), your device may include App data in that backup. Such backups are controlled by you and handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
2.2 Purchase and subscription information
If you purchase or restore an optional subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google, and subscription status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, Inc. In connection with that process, the following may be processed:
- A pseudonymous identifier generated on your device and used solely to associate a purchase with an installation of the App;
- Purchase and receipt information supplied by the store, such as the product purchased, transaction and renewal dates, subscription status, and whether an introductory offer was used;
- Technical information transmitted with the request, such as device model, operating system and App version, country and IP address.
We do not receive your payment card details, billing address, Apple ID or Google account. Those are handled by Apple or Google and are never disclosed to us. Subscription status is also stored locally on your device so that the App can function without a network connection.
2.3 Support correspondence
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address, the contents of your message, and any technical details you include, such as App version and operating system.
2.4 Website information
The Site does not use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, for security and operational purposes. The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which causes your browser to request those files from Google's servers.
3. Information we do not collect
The App does not collect, request or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number or date of birth;
- Contacts, calendars, photos, microphone or camera data;
- Location data of any precision;
- Health, fitness or financial data;
- Advertising identifiers or any information used to track you across apps or websites.
The App contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software, and we do not build user profiles or engage in behavioural advertising.
4. How we use information
Information described in this policy is used only to:
- Provide and operate the App and its features on your device;
- Process, verify and restore purchases, and determine subscription entitlement;
- Respond to support enquiries;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the App and the Site, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the App and processing purchases); legitimate interests (securing and maintaining the App and the Site, and responding to enquiries); consent (where you grant an optional device permission, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information is disclosed only to the following categories of recipient:
- Apple Inc. — distribution of the App and processing of App Store purchases. Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC — distribution of the App, processing of Google Play purchases, and delivery of web fonts on the Site. Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription management and receipt validation, acting as our processor. Privacy Policy.
- Hosting provider — delivery of the Site and maintenance of standard server logs.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, safety or property of any person.
7. Notifications
Any notifications the App provides are scheduled and delivered locally by your device's operating system. They are not push notifications, and no notification content is transmitted to us or to any third party.
Notification permission is requested only at the point it is first required, and the App remains usable if permission is declined. You may grant or revoke permission at any time in your device settings.
8. Data retention and deletion
Information stored on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes the data it stored on your device. This action is permanent and cannot be reversed by us, as no copy is held elsewhere.
Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat in accordance with their own retention policies and applicable law. Support correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry and to keep a record of it. To request deletion of purchase records held by our processor, or of support correspondence, contact us using the details below.
9. Security
Information stored by the App is protected by the security features of your device and operating system, including device-level encryption and application sandboxing. Information exchanged with our processor is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where information is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, those providers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may additionally have the right to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Because information created in the App is stored on your device and is not accessible to us, you can exercise these rights directly by editing or deleting that information. For information held by our service providers, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also authorise an agent to submit a request on your behalf.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be identified in the App's release notes, and your continued use of the App or the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
14. Contact
