TimeLeft

See how much time is left.

TimeLeft turns your day, week, month and year into a countdown you can watch move — with a goal list for each one, and countdowns for everything ahead.

What TimeLeft does

Day, week, month and year

Four screens, one for each period, all updating every second. Tap a countdown to switch between three views — a large number over a depleting bar, a ring that empties as the period runs out, or a grid of dots. Each period remembers the view you left it in.

The month screen showing a grid of dots, one per day, with the remaining days still lit.

What today is actually for

Every period keeps its own list, so what you want out of today sits under today's countdown and what you want out of the year sits under the year's. It is not one long to-do list with dates attached. It is four short answers to four different questions. Priorities and reminders are there when you want them.

The week screen with 100 hours left and a list of three goals below it, one ticked off.

Countdowns to any date

Add a date and TimeLeft counts down to it — in months, then weeks, then days, then hours as it draws closer, so a trip next summer and a deadline tonight both read at the right scale. Set a reminder for the week, day or hour before. Past events clear themselves out, or stay on the list if you'd rather keep them.

The Events screen listing five events: a product launch in 68 hours, a design review in 90 hours, a trip to Lisbon in 14 days, a birthday in 5 weeks and a marathon in 3 months.

Widgets for your home screen

Six widgets in two sizes: a single period on its own, all four together as a row of rings, or a quote about time that changes each day. Tap one to open straight to that tab. Widgets are available on iOS only.

  • The Today widget: a small tile with a ring and 3 hours 22 minutes left.
  • The This Month widget in a light theme: a ring with 15 days 12 hours left.
  • The Overview widget: four rings showing 48% of the day, 64% of the week, 52% of the month and 29% of the year still to go.
  • The This Week widget: a ring with 4 days 12 hours left beside three goals, one of them ticked off.
  • The Quote widget, showing “Procrastination is the thief of time.” attributed to Charles Dickens.
  • The This Month widget at the larger size: a ring with 28 days 12 hours left beside an empty goal list reading “Tap to add a goal for this month.”

Start with the time you have left today.

TimeLeft is free to download on iPhone and Android. There is no account to make, and nothing leaves your phone.

It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.
